Frequently Asked Questions
Permanent makeup uses specialised pigments to enhance features — brows and lips. PMU pigments fade gradually, typically lasting 1–3 years depending on skin type and aftercare. An annual colour refresh keeps results looking fresh.
Most clients are pleasantly surprised by how comfortable treatment is. A topical numbing cream is applied before and during the session. Most describe the sensation as light scratching. Your comfort is always our priority.
Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications for 48 hours beforehand. Avoid retinol or exfoliating acids on the treatment area for 2 weeks prior. Come with clean skin and no makeup on the area. Full pre-care instructions are sent after booking.
Mild redness and swelling is normal and subsides within 24–48 hours. Colour softens by up to 40% as skin heals. Full healing takes 4–6 weeks, after which your touch-up perfects results.
A patch test is recommended for all new clients, particularly those with sensitive skin or known allergies. This is carried out at least 48 hours before treatment. Please mention any allergies when booking.
Conditions that may prevent treatment include pregnancy, active skin conditions, blood-thinning medication, recent Botox (wait 4 weeks), or keloid scarring history. A full consultation is completed before every treatment.
